This private garden in Hamilton was a blank canvas; the only existing feature to remain was the mono block driveway at the front of the house. The client wished for a low maintenance garden, a space to relax in and also entertain friends. The design brief included a barbecue and a small water feature.
In this case the client was provided with two sketch designs. The first was linear in form and complemented the existing boundary lines.
The second sketch was curvilinear in style. It draws you out from the rear living room. At the centre of the design, and the curved deck, is a small water feature.
